Everything you need to know about how FantasyX works. Search or browse by topic.
FantasyX is fantasy football built around a weekly re-draft. Instead of one draft in August that locks your roster for the whole season, the entire league re-drafts every week, so every week is a fresh start decided by skill rather than draft-day luck.
In season-long fantasy, one bad draft can sink your year. In FantasyX, rosters reset every week and the whole league re-drafts, so you are never buried by an unlucky draft. Players you start also get locked into your graveyard, which adds a scarcity layer that season-long leagues don't have.
FantasyX is mobile-first, with a web app as well, so you can manage your team from your phone or any browser. The web app is currently in closed beta.
Yes. Because rosters reset each week, everyone re-drafts before that week's games. There is a live draft room, plus a pre-draft queue and autopick, so you are covered even if you can't attend the draft live.
Before each week's games, the league holds a fresh draft. Your previous roster does not carry over, and any player already locked in your graveyard is no longer available for you to draft.
Snake and Linear drafts are live. Auction (salary cap) drafts are marked Coming Soon and will be enabled once the bidding engine is ready.
Each pick is on a timer, and if it runs out you autopick the best available player, or the top of your pre-draft queue. You can set that queue ahead of time so the app drafts for you if you can't make the live room.
Yes. You can build and edit a cheat sheet, set a pre-draft queue, and run mock drafts to practice before the real thing.
The graveyard holds the players you have used up. Once a player is locked there, you cannot draft them again for the rest of the regular season, so the pool of players available to you shrinks week by week.
A player is locked once you start them and their game is played. If a player only sits on your bench, or you move them out of your starting lineup before their game kicks off, they are not locked and can be drafted again.
Each team gets a limited number of revive tokens. Spending one submits a request to pull a buried player back out of your graveyard, and your commissioner approves or denies it from the Revive Manager.
Yes. On top of your base allotment, bonus revives can be earned through certain achievements, and commissioners can grant additional revives from the Revive Manager.
No. Revives are disabled once the playoffs begin, so you cannot revive players during the playoff rounds.
Yes. Going into the playoffs, the graveyard resets and the player pool is fresh, giving every remaining team a clean slate. Commissioners can configure the playoff graveyard behavior for their league.
Roster size is set by your league. You field a starting lineup plus a bench and IR slots, and commissioners can adjust the counts and which positions are used, including FLEX, SUPERFLEX, and IDP setups.
Scoring is your commissioner's choice: Full PPR, Half PPR, or Standard. Leagues can also enable a League Median bonus, which grants an extra weekly win or loss based on the league's median score.
Open My Roster and swap players between your starting slots and bench. Changes apply instantly, and the app surfaces injury alerts and start/sit suggestions to help you decide.
After the draft closes, waivers open for a set window. Your league uses either Rolling Priority, where the claim winner rotates to the back of the line, or Reverse Standings, where priority resets each week based on the standings.
Players who are not on waivers can be added instantly as free agents, subject to your roster space. If your roster is full, you'll be prompted to drop someone to make room.
Build a proposal from both rosters and send it. Trades can go through a league review with veto voting, and they finalize automatically once the review window passes. Draft-pick trades can also be made live in the draft room.
Create a league, name your team, and set your initial settings. You become the commissioner and can invite others to join.
Use Invite Members in League Info to share your invite link. On mobile it opens the share sheet; on the web it gives you a copy-the-link dialog. Anyone who opens the link is taken straight to the join screen.
Yes. Leagues support late starts up to the last regular-season week, and the schedule generates from the current week forward. Once the playoffs have begun, a new schedule can't be generated.
Commissioners control scoring, roster and bench sizes, draft type and pick timer, the waiver system, trade review windows, playoff setup, and more from League Settings.
